At Paging Columbus: Arts & Numbers (at our regularly scheduled time, Thursday, June 6, from 6-8 PM at OSU Urban Arts Space), Elaine Grogan Luttrull will share strategies to help us connect our creative goals to our resources. No mind-boggling word problems, pop quizzes, or formulas to memorize—we promise! This fun and friendly forum is for any creative freelancer or artist (including writers, editors, performers, and designers), who’d like to make finance feel less intimidating. Copies of Luttrull’s book will be available, as well as tasty treats. As usual, our event runs from 6-8 PM, with the discussion kicking off by 6:30.
June 9, 2013
We are also proud to present Paging Columbus: Port, Shore, Riverfront (at the Columbus Arts Festival, on Sunday, June 9, from 1-2 PM). Jonterri Gadson, Anne Valente, and Terry Hermsen will play gondolier, navigating us through works featuring forms of water. We’ll be at the Word Is Art stage, which is on the corner of Civic Center Dr. (along the river) and Town St. (just down the street from our home base of the Urban Arts Space). There will be some folding chairs–stop by, hear some great literature, and then continue your merry way through the Arts Fest. You can find a map of the festival here.
